Mail-In Absentee Ballot

Saturday, April 1st – Online mail-in absentee request portal to open
(45 days before the election).

Tuesday, May 2nd – online mail-in absentee request portal to close
(14 days before the election) at 11:59PM

Ballots for the May 2023 Primary may be returned by mail, or to the secure drop box located inside the Whitley County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours of 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Ballots must be received in the clerk’s office by May 16th at 6:00pm.

In-Person Excuse Absentee –  May 3rd, 4th, 5th and May 8th, 9th and 10th, 2023

In-Person No-Excuse Absentee – May 11th, 12th and 13th, 2023

Election Day – May 16th, 2023
